  • System Piping Information - As Of 12-11-2021

Zone Control Box has not yet been located.
Main system pipe from pump - 2" pipe - heads North underground from pump well head
then turn West near north curb and pipe size drops to 1-1/2" pipe (pipe size tbd)
and then heads down .. terminus tbd
pipe for low flow irrigation system found capped North side of enclosure .. starting point still tbd
best guess is zone control box somewhere inside enclosure
Zone 5 entrance island spray heads appear to be connected via flex lines to a central pipe that has not been located

Pipe found running inside West curb of entrance island about 6-9" down - assume it leads to either West beds or West grass

  • CAUTION FOR IRRIGATION SYSTEM / WELL PUMP
The 3hp well pump produces 50 gallons of water per minute. Pressure can reach over 100 psi if output is restricted -- this pressure is sufficient to burst pvc pipes, garden hoses and can also ruin the pump if the water does not have an open outlet.
The hose spigot is charged with water everytime the pump runs - for every zone - as it is attached directly to the pump outgoing water line.
When the system is operating (Zones 1 thru 5) the hose spigot must be turned OFF to allow sufficent pressure to run the sprinklers
Under No Circumstances should the pump be run without the hose spigot open or a zone operating
NEVER RUN THE PUMP WITH JUST ZONE 6 WITH THE HOSE SPIGOT CLOSED OR DAMAGE WILL OCCUR ZONE 6 AND THE HOSE SPIGOT CAN BE USED FOR PRESSURE WASHING - ATTACH A "T" AND THERE IS A HOSE THAT RUNS UNDER THE FENCE TO PERMIT DUMPING WATER FROM ONE SIDE OF THE "T"

AFTER LAWN CHEMICALS APPLIED WATER WITHING 24 HOURS:
  • DO NOT RUN MANUALLY IF THE DAY BEFORE USUAL WATERING
    INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUMMER:
    > BECAUSE PROGRAMMING IS SPLIT BETWEEN PROGRAMS A AND PROGRAM B - EACH PROGRAM HAS TO BE MANUALLY STARTED INDIVIDUALLY:
    > TURN DIAL TO MANUAL START - USE PROGRAM BUTTON TO SET TO PROGRAM A - THEN TURN DIAL TO RUN (ZONE 1).
    > AFTER ZONE 1 FINISHES - TURN DIAL TO MANUAL START - USE PROGRAM BUTTON TO SET TO PROGRAM B - USE THE "==>" BUTTON TO MAKE SURE DISPLAY SHOWS ZONE 2 - THEN TURN DIAL TO RUN (ZONES 2-5) (OR IF NECESSARY USE "==>" BUTTON TO ADVANCE TO ZONE 2)
  • Dated signs must be displayed
  • Do not turn sprinklers on the evening before overnight watering is to start

  • INSTRUCTIONS FOR WINTER:
    > TURN DIAL TO MANUAL START - THEN TURN DIAL TO RUN
    > ALL ZONES WILL RUN IN SEQUENCE -- ZONE 1 THRU ZONE 5
  • Dated signs must be displayed
  • Do not turn sprinklers on the evening before overnight watering is to start

  • SYSTEM PRESSURE MONITORING
  • ......Zone 1 Center Island Grass @ 55 LBS
  • ......Zone 2 West Side Bed (fence to sidewalk) @ 50 LBS
  • ......Zone 3 East Side Grass (road to sidewalk) @ 82 LBS
  • ......Zone 4 West Side Grass (road to sidewalk) @ 70 LBS
  • ......Zone 5 @ 55 LBS
  • ......Zone 6 N/A. Note Set to 0 minutes - NOTHING CONNECTED - ONLY USE WITH FAUCET OPEN OR IT WILL OVERPRESSURIZE THE SYSTEM
